Messy Commute, Snow and Ice Coming Today, Forecasters Say
A mixture of snow, ice and rain is expected Monday along with sub-freezing temperatures in the morning
A winter storm is on the way and it could make for a messy commute to work or school Monday morning, according to weather forecasters.
WFMZ says snow will start around sunrise and continue for a few hours before it changes to rain in late morning or early afternoon.
The National Weather Service predicts "rain, snow, freezing rain, and sleet before 3 p.m., then rain and freezing rain, possibly mixed with sleet from 3 to 4 p.m., then rain and sleet likely after 4 p.m."
We could get about an inch of snow and sleet.
Daytime highs will climb into the 40s on Tuesday and 50s on Wednesday but both days will be cloudy and rainy.
