Fern J. Romig Smith, 83, formerly of Allentown and Macungie, was the beloved wife of Harold W. Smith. She passed away Thursday, Dec. 13, at the Heritage Care Center, American Fort, Utah.

Born in Alburtis, she was the daughter of the late Robert N. and Minnie Mae (Conrad) Shoemaker. Before retiring in 1992, she worked as a packer at Daytimes for 25 years. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fogelsville. Also she was a member of Macungie VFW.

Survivors: Husband Harold W., sons, Robert A. Romig, Richard R. Romig, John S. Romig, Edward C. Romig, daughter, Elaine F. Roundy, step son David M. Smith, brothers, sister, grandchildren, great grandchildren and step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her
first husband, Charles A.S. Romig, Sr., son Charles Jr., brothers and a sister.
