Shops at 3900 Hamilton to Host 'Cupcakes for a Cause'

The Shops at 3900 Hamilton are hosting a cupcake fund-raiser for Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley.

 

The Shops at 3900 Hamilton are sponsoring "Cupcakes for a Cause" on Thursday, May 3, to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley.

The event will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the shops, which include Talbots, Bixler's Jewelers, The Paperbag, Milk & Honey Kids, Swartz Kitchens and Baths, Sovereign Bank, ReVive Hair Salon and H&R Block.

Patrons can purchase a Tasting Ticket for $15 (with proceeds benefit Second Harvest), enjoy one specialty cupcake from each participating store, and vote on their favorites. Celebrity judges will award prizes for the winning cupcakes.

Celebrity Judges include:

  • Ann McManus, director of Second Harvest Food Bank of Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania
  • Bill White, columnist for The Morning Call
  • Wendy Knowles, account executive for Lehigh Valley Marketplace

Cupcakes will be judged in the following categories:

  • Best Tasting Cupcake
  • Best Visual Appeal
  • Most Creative Cupcake
  • Facebook Favorite

The winners will be determined by patrons, celebrity judges, and Facebook fans and will be announced Thursday.

Tickets can be purchased online through Second Harvest, by calling Sharon at 610-434-0875, or in person at The Paperbag (cash or check only).  Tickets also can be purchased at the event.
