Wanted: 'Victims' for Mass Casualty Drill at Dorney Park

Cetronia Ambulance Corps and other agencies need 100 more volunteers for a mass casualty drill being planned for May 13 at Dorney Park. Note: You may get wet!

Wanted: Bystanders and "victims" for a five-hour mass casualty drill that will be staged Monday, May 13 at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom.

About 100 more volunteers are still needed for the drill, which is being organized by Cetronia Ambulance Corps, South Whitehall police, emergency management and volunteer fire departments, Lehigh County Emergency Management, the Department of Homeland Security and Northeast PA Counter Terrorism Task Force, said Cetronia spokeswoman Caitlin Stibitz.

The drill will be held from 7:15 a.m. to noon.

Many of the volunteers will be used to simulate bystanders, but the agencies also need volunteers who are willing to play the role of a "victim."

Stibitz said the "victims" will get wet so they are being advised to wear a bathing suit underneath old clothing. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to participate.
