Wednesday in South Whitehall: Budget Talks and a Movie

South Whitehall commissioners begin their meetings on the proposed 2014 budget Wednesday. Will they be able to hold the line on taxes?

Wednesday, Oct. 9, is expected to be mostly sunny with a high temperature near 65 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Here's what's happening Wednesday in and near South Whitehall:

  • The South Whitehall Township Board of Commissioners will hold their first meeting on the proposed 2014 budget from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the township building, 4444 Walbert Ave.
  • The Parkland Community Library presents its monthly Night at The Movies at 6:30 p.m. Each month, the library screens a unique and often award-winning film. Under a licensing agreement, the library is not permitted to list titles. You can call 610-398-1361, or check at the library, 4422 Walbert Ave. in South Whitehall,  for the movie title.
  • parent forum Fall workshop will take place Wednesday at Parkland High School, Room C220, at 7 p.m. 
  • The Parkland High School girls soccer team will host Whitehall High School in a Lehigh Valley Conference game at 7 p.m. Wednesday
