Wednesday in South Whitehall: 'Life of Pi' Book Group, Picture Day

Here's what's happening in and around South Whitehall Wednesday:
- The South Whitehall Township Zoning Hearing Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
- The Parkland Community Library's "Books Into Movies" group will meet at 7 p.m. to discuss "The Life of Pi" by Yann Martel. Which did you enjoy more, the book or the movie? New members are always welcome. The library is located at 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall.
- Wednesday is Ninth Grade Picture Day at Parkland High School.
- The Parkland High School boys golf team will host East Stroudsburg South and Nazareth in a tri-match, with start times of 1:45 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
- The Parkland High School girls soccer team will host Allen High School at 5:30 p.m.
