• The Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown.

• The South Whitehall Board of Commissioners will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the administration building, 4444 Walbert Ave.

• The Orefield Middle School Parent Teacher Organization will hold its first meeting of the school year at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

• The Parkland High School boys golf team will host Northampton in a Lehigh Valley Conference match at 2:30 p.m.

• The Parkland High School girls field hockey team will host Nazareth in a Lehigh Valley Conference contest at 5:30 p.m.
