West End Housing Development Presented Thursday in South Whitehall

30 West, a development of 10 high-end single-family houses off the 3100 block of Washington Street, will be discussed Thursday at the South Whitehall Township Planning Commission meeting.

Here's a look at what's happening Thursday in and around South Whitehall Township.


  • The South Whitehall Township Planning Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the township building, 4444 Walbert Ave. Elysium Acquistions LLC. will present a sketch plan for 30 West, a proposed development of 10 single-family homes on the unopened portion of North Marshall Street and N. 31st Street, between Washington and Tilghman streets in the West End.
  • Fine Forgiveness Week continues through Saturday at Parkland Community Library. Return overdue items this week without incurring any fines. 
  • The Parkland Community Library's Board of Directors will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. at the library.
  • Twilight Thursday at the Lehigh Valley Zoo. Enjoy the zoo after hours, that is, until 8 p.m. Grab dinner at the Bison Prairie Grill or stop by the Bear Crossing Gift Shop. Hot dogs will cost $1 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
