3-5 Inches of Snow Expected Tuesday

A second winter storm in three days is expected to bring South Whitehall Township and other parts of the Lehigh Valley another three to five inches of snow on Tuesday, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service.

And just as the Sunday night storm made Monday morning’s commuting tricky, this storm could play havoc with your Tuesday morning travel.

The weather service has issued another winter weather advisory for the area, this one starting at 6 a.m. Tuesday and continuing until 5 p.m. The bulk of the snow is expected to fall by 2 p.m., according to the weather service.

The advisory states that we can expect “moderate to severe travel impacts during the morning commute.” Some icing is expected along with the accumulating snow.

The forecast high temperature is 32 degrees, while the temperature is expected to fall to 15 on Tuesday night.
