Rebecca Zukowski‐Gillespie, a "Cupcake Wars" finalist from Catasauqua, will make a guest appearance at the second annual Cupcakes for a Cause event at The Shops at 3900 Hamilton in South Whitehall.

Zukowski‐Gillespie, the owner of Blondies bakery in Catasauqua, appeared on the Food Network's cupcake competition show last April.

The event will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. next April 25 and benefits the Northeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The merchants invite shoppers to enjoy cupcakes and refreshments while taking advantage of deals and specials throughout the evening. Entrants will also be eligible for over $200 in drawings.

The cupcakes will be judged in the following categories: Best Tasting, Best Visual Appeal, Most Creative and Fan Favorite.

Participating merchants include Talbots, Swartz Kitchens & Baths, Sovereign Bank, Milk & Honey Kids, H&R Block, ReVive! Hair Salon and The Paperbag.

Tasting tickets will be available for a minimum contribution of $20 (cash or checks only) at The Paperbag and on the day of the event.

All proceeds from the sale of tasting tickets will directly benefit the CF Foundation. Ticket holders can sample one cupcake from each participating merchant and vote for their favorite between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Judging will take place at 7:15 p.m.
