Pysanky Eggs, 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels,' Yoga

1. Learn a new way to decorate eggs.

Why Go: Helen Badulak, a Pysanky master for more than 40 years and the author of Pysanky in the 21st Century, will hold a Pysanky egg demonstration on the decorative Ukrainian art. Get some ideas for a new way to fancy up those Easter eggs this season.

2. Check out the musical comedy "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels."
Where/When: Thursday, April 7, through Saturday, April 9, at . Shows are at 7:30 p.m. each evening as well as a 2 p.m. performance on Saturday, April 9.
Why Go: This musical comedy, based on the 1988 film, is the story of two con men who try to out-con each other. The show is appropriate for audiences over age 12.

3. Celebrate Earth Day at Wegmans,
Where/When: Head to on Saturday, April 9, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. for some good ‘green’ fun.
Why Go: Enjoy yummy samples and discover the ways they and their suppliers help reduce, reuse, and recycle resources. Bring in your plastic bags for recycling and get $1 off a new all-cotton reusable bag. While you’re there, pick up an entry form for their children’s Earth Day poster contest and enter to win an Earth Box Garden Kit.
Price: Free.
4. Join the Community Yoga Project.
Where/When: Classes will be held at the Primary Learning Center (basement) on Sunday, April 10, and again on Sunday, April 17. There will be two classes each day at 2 and 4 p.m.
Why Go: Come attend a yoga class to benefit the "" - all monies go directly to the 16 families that were affected. Classes appropriate for all levels.
Price: A minimum $5 donation is being asked.
5. Celebrate National Library Week
Where/When: will be celebrating all week from Sunday, April 10, through Saturday, April 16.
Why Go: Create your own story page or bookmark. Drop by the Youth Services Department to create a page for a “library book” or a bookmark. While you’re there, enter their raffle for a Nook Color too!
Price: Story page and bookmark are free. Raffle tickets are six for $5, or $1 each. Event participation require a Parkland Community Library card; ask how to sign up if you don’t have one.
