Join Your Neighbors at National Night Out Tuesday in Covered Bridge Park

Help strengthen the community of South Whitehall by joining your neighbors, police and emergency workers Tuesday evening at the third annual National Night Out event in Covered Bridge Park.

The family event, sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, is designed to heighten awareness of crime prevention program, generate support for local anti-crime programs and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.

Last year, more than 400 people attended National Night Out at Covered Bridge Park, the largest ever.

Come gather from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for fun and camaraderie, music, food, entertainment, raffles and children's activities, rain or shine. Members of your local crime watch group will be there, along with local businesses and non-profit organizations that serve the community. 

• The Lehigh County Auto Theft Task Force will etch the identification number on your vehicle for free. 

• Cops 'n Kids and Paper Bag Child will collect new and gently used children's books.

• Baltimore Life will offer free child photo id's.
