Let the Halloween Fun Begin

Youngsters can trick-or-treat Friday night in South Whitehall, then join a parade on Saturday.

There's a lot happening in South Whitehall this Halloween.

You can:

* , from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday. (Rain date is Saturday.)

* Join in a costumed parade at 1 p.m. on Saturday,  The fire house will open at 11 a.m., costume registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. and judging will start at 12:30 p.m.

* Watch the in Allentown's Halloween parade on Sunday. The parade steps off from Allentown fairgrounds at 2 p.m. and will cover a two-mile route from 17th Street, to Hamilton Street, to 7th Street. Parkland's band, which is over last year, will join Allen, Dieruff and Central Catholic high school bands, the Harrison-Morton, Trexler, Raub and South Mountain middle school bands, the Hobo Band and the Allentown Union Band in the parade.
