Patch offers up ideas to help you make the most of your week.

1. Spring Home Show At Stabler

Where/When: Lehigh University’s Goodman Stadium on Friday, March 25, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday, March 26, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday, March 27, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why Go: Ideas to improve or decorate your home, presented by the Lehigh Valley Builders Association.

Price: Admission is $6; kids 11 and under are free.

2. "Blackbird"

Where/When: At America On Wheels Thursday, March 24, through Saturday, March 26, at 8 p.m.

Why Go: Allentown Public Theatre presents a play by David Horrower in which a young woman and a middle-aged man meet 15 years after having had a relationship; she had been 12. Due to the mature theme, suggested for viewers 17 and older.

Price: Tickets are $25 for adults; $22 for seniors and students.

3. Knitting Circle

Where/When:  on Thursday, March 24, from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Take some time for yourself and get to that knitting project you’ve been meaning to work on, or if you need help, head over and ask some fellow knitters for advice.

Pricing: Free (just bring your knitting supplies).


4. Book Signing Event

Where/When: Books Music & Café at the Whitehall Mall on Saturday, March 26, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Joe Paretta, adjunct professor at Moravian College, signs his book "Mastering the Card: Say Goodbye to Credit Card Debt Forever."

Price: The paperback version of the book retails for $11.95.

5. Ides of Health Weekly Luncheon

Where/When: Wednesday, March 30, at. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with lunch starting at noon. Speakers begin at 12:15 p.m.

Why Go: Next week’s topic is “Sex and the City” – Judy Knoop and Robert Pompa dish up a hot and spicy lunch! Learn about the state of HIV/AIDS in the Lehigh Valley and what we can do for ourselves, our loved ones and our community. This will be a sexually explicit, interactive presentation. Knoop has been the Mental Health Coordinator for the AIDS Activities Office at Lehigh Valley Health Network for 11 years. Pompa is active in the community promoting HIV prevention.

Pricing: $10 for soup, sandwich, a light dessert and beverage.
