Summer school begins at Parkland High School.

South Whitehall Township Landcape and Shade Tree Commission meets at 10 a.m.

Parkland Community Library Summer Reading Club Kick-Off at 6 p.m. at Jordan Lutheran Church, 5103 Snowdrift Road, Orefield.

Tuesday, June 25

Yoga With Stacy Daniels (for children, ages 2 to 6) 10 a.m. at the South Whitehall Township Administration Building. Registration requested.

The Parkland School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Parkland School District Administration Center, 1210 Springhouse Road. The board will vote on the proposed final 2013-2014 budget.

Wednesday, June 26

The South Whitehall Township Zoning Hearing Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the South Whitehall Township Administration Building, 4444 Walbert Ave. Wicked Novelties would like to sell fireworks from a temporary tent at Village West Shopping Center.

Thursday, June 27

Yoga With Stacy Daniels (for children entering grades 1-5) 10 a.m. at the South Whitehall Township Administration Building. Registration requested.

Knitting Circle meets from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Jordan United Church of Christ, across the street from the Parkland Community Library. Spend a fun afternoon swapping knitting tips and tricks. Just bring your knitting materials and enthusiasm. For knitters of all ages and skill levels. 

The Parkland Community Library Board of Directors will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the South Whitehall Township Building, 4444 Walbert Ave. 

The board could address its options for its planned new location in Upper Macungie Township, which might include pushing for a voter referendum in November.
