U.S. News Ranks L.V. School in State's Top 20

U.S. News & World Report has named a Lehigh Valley school to its list of 'Best High Schools' in Pennsylvania.

Lehigh Valley Academy Regional Charter School in Bethlehem is ranked 13th in Pennsylvania in the2014 "Best High Schools" assessment by U.S. News & World Report.

The school enrolls more than 1,000 students in grades K-12.

Student-teacher ratio is 15:1 and students have the opportunity to take International Baccalaureate course work and exams.

The school received a silver medal in the U.S. News assessment and was ranked 701 nationally.

The U.S. News Best High Schools rankings 2014 edition includes profiles on more than 19,400 high schools and rankings of the nation’s 4,707 highest-scoring schools across all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The report includes data on enrollment, ethnicity, school type and results of state assessment proficiency tests.

According to a press release:
"To produce the 2014 Best High Schools, U.S. News worked with the Washington, D.C.-based American Institutes for Research, one of the largest behavioral and social science research organizations in the world. AIR implemented the U.S. News rankings methodology, which reflects how well high schools serve all of their students, not just those who are planning to go to college."
