Schnecksville Elementary Seeks New Principal

Schnecksville Elementary School Principal William Bowen is resigning after 10 years to take a position in North Penn School District.

William Bowen is leaving his position, which he has held since 2003, to work as anelementary school principal in North Penn School District, according to The Reporter.

Bowen has not submitted his resignation yet, according to Parkland School District Spokeswoman Nicole McGalla. Once the school board accepts his resignation, the district can retain him for 60 more days, she said.

"He will be here for a couple months," to help with the transition, McGalla said. Schnecksville Elementary School has about 400 students.

Attempts to contact Bowen were not immediately successful.

Parkland School District has posted the job opening for a new Schnecksville Elementary School principal and is accepting applications until Aug. 30, according to the school's website.
