5 Bands in Red Robin Summer Bash Contest

And then there were five.

has chosen the semi-finalists in its "Road to the Stage" competition that is part of its Summer Bash at Tilghman Square on Aug. 24.

Rachel Minor, senior Local Restaurant marketer, said the Summer Bash planning team narrowed the selection to the top five from 20 entrants.

The public can now vote on a winning band in the battle-of-the-bands competition via Red Robin's Summer Bash Facebook page. The winning band will open for the musical group UUU and will receive $500 and other prizes. 

Minor said the five semi-finalists are: 

* Goodbye Friday, a pop rock band based out of Hopatcong, NJ. The band is managed by Nicky Braun, with Rocco Costanza on lead vocals and guitar, Aaron Henriquez on guitar and vocals, Mark Braun on bass and Anthony Arci on drums.

* Taking Tomorrow, a band based out of Bethlehem that classifies itself as modern rock/post-grunge/pop rock. The band is managed by Laurie Vincent, with members Greg Adams on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Andy Kurtz on lead guitar, Ben Adams on bass and backing vocals, and Brett Broczkowski on drums and piano. 

* Run For It, a pop-punk/rock band out of Harleysville, PA. Members are Tony on vocals, Justin on drums, Adam on bass, Jason on guitar and Owen on guitar and back up vocals. They are under the record label Painted Ox Records. 

* Sunsets North, a pop-rock-experimental band based out of the Lehigh Valley. Members are Warren North on vocals and guitar, Derrick Stair on bass and vocals, and Colin Kocher on drums. 

* The Big Empty, a rock grunge/hard rock band out of Bath, PA. Members are Paul Freeby on vocals, Jared Labarre on guitar, Brad Tigar on drums, Jim Kleintop on guitar and Nick Capozzolo on bass. 

The public can vote until 11:59 p.m. on June 22.

Go to Red Robin's Summer Bash Facebook page, "like" the page (if you haven't already), scroll through the top five bands, listen to the videos and "like" the band you want to see at the bash. Only one vote per band is allowed.

The winning band will be announced Monday, June 25.
