Bread Box Bakery & Cafe Closes
The Bread Box Bakery & Café at Tilghman Square has closed but a new cafe will be coming soon, according to the café's recorded phone message.
, which in Tilghman Square Shopping Center in South Whitehall, has closed.
"We thank you very much for your support for the past year," said a recorded message on the cafe's phone line. "It was our pleasure to serve you all."

The message said a new cafe will open soon at the location at 4620 Broadway, under new management with a "relaxing environment" and "nice people."
The Bread Box served one-of-a-kind breads, pannini sandwiches, salads and coffees, and opened serving breakfast and lunch. Specialty breads included “banana-filled," mocha and cheddar cheese, setting the place apart from other area bakeries and cafes.

Owner Jason Guo had said he learned to make the uniquely filled and shaped breads in school in China.
