Burger King in South Whitehall Closes Abruptly

Burger King Corp., which is headquartered in Florida, issued a statement that it has requested the franchise owner to re-open as soon as possible.

The independently owned Burger King at 3105 Hamilton Blvd. in South Whitehall, has closed without explanation, leaving customers to wonder what happened.

Attempts to reach the franchise owner was unsuccessful.

However, Burger King Corp., which is headquartered in Florida, said in an email that it has addressed the issue and has requested the franchise owner to re-open as soon as possible.

The communications department did not address why the restaurant closed.

It said, "RVD, Inc., the franchise operating company, made the decision to close the restaurant without BKC’s knowledge or consent."

The Burger King had an electronic sign that said "closed" and other signs on the door that said "temporarily closed." A call to the restaurant's phone number did not indicate that it was to the Burger King.
