Chamber Spotlights South Whitehall Business, AAMCO

The former owners of The Shanty Restaurant in Allentown have opened an AAMCO Transmission and Total Car Care store in South Whitehall. Another store is in Whitehall.

The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce is spotlighting a South Whitehall business -- on Hamilton Boulevard.

Patrons might know the owners from an earlier venture. According to the chamber's "Member of the Month" profile, owners Don and David Saylor -- who are father and son -- are the former owners of The Shanty Restaurant, a once popular eatery in West End Allentown.

“People now own their cars longer than ever - on average it’s 11 years or more,” David Saylor is quoted as saying. “That’s where we come in. We strive to guide customers to make good decisions regarding service and repairs and get them back on the road as quickly and cost-effectively as possible.”
