Dorney Park GM Gets Big Promotion to Cedar Point

Jason McClure, vice president and general manager of Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom will head Cedar Point, the amusement park's corporate headquarters in Ohio, according to a news release issued Tuesday.

McClure will succeed H. John Hildebrandt, vice president and general manager of Cedar Point, who will retire at the end of 2013.

Earlier this summer, McClure defended Dorney Park's controversial request to hold nightly fireworks, which was rejected by the township's Zoning Hearing Board.

Michael Fehnel, vice president and assistant general manager of Dorney Park since 2013, will be promoted to vice president and general manager of Dorney Park, the release said.

Fehnel has more than 20 years of experience with Cedar Fair and Dorney Park. He began working at Dorney Park as a seasonal employee, on games, and moved up over the years. He was promoted to vice president and assistant general manager this year, the release said.
