Elevation Burger to Open in Village West

Elevation Burger, which features hamburgers made from organic, grass-fed, free-range cattle, will soon open in the Village West shopping center in South Whitehall.

An Elevation Burger restaurant, known for its organic hamburgers made from grass-fed, free-range cattle, will soon open in the Village West shopping center in South Whitehall.

The local restaurant will be the fast-growing chain's fifth in Pennsylvania. The first Elevation Burger opened in the Washington, D.C., area in 2005 and now has nearly 40 locations in 10 states and in countries as far away as Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, according to a recent USA Today article.

Elevation Burger uses food that is sustainable and local, when possible. The beef is ground on the premises to ensure freshness and quality. None of its items on the menus are made with trans-fats; the french fries are made in olive oil. The restaurant uses environmentally friendly products and recycles its trash and fryer oil, according to its Facebook site.
