Rothrock Motors to Build Collision Repair Center

After viewing site plans, commissioners gave preliminary approval last week to Rothrock Motors to build a 24,000-plus square foot collision repair center on a 2.25-acre property in the township.

The center will be located at 1610 and 1628 Plaza Lane.

However, Rothrock attorney Emil Kantra asked the board to consider some relief from the parks, recreation and open space fee that the township assessed to the property.

Kantra said his client felt the fee, figured between $15,000 and $16,000, was excessive. The commissioners agreed to re-evaluate the amount, but cautioned that it may not change.

Construction is expected to begin this summer.
