Whitehall Area Chamber To Open New Office, Visitors Center

The Whitehall Area Chamber of Commerce will open a new office and Visitors Center at the former Bixler's Jewelers location at the Lehigh Valley Mall, at MacArthur Road and Route 22.

The center will be a hub for the chamber’s community and business functions, as well as a facility for promoting the growth and economic vitality of the greater Whitehall area, according to a release from the chamber. Information will be provided by several groups, including Discover Lehigh Valley.

Laura Long, chamber executive, said in a prepared release that the chamber looks forward to being on the Lehigh Valley Mall campus.

"As an Independent Chamber, we have a very unique niche within the Lehigh Valley," she said. "The history of Whitehall and surrounding areas is something we are looking forward to sharing with our many visitors. From our beautiful parks to day trips all over the Lehigh Valley, we will be a visible reminder to residents and visitors of the value we have to offer to all.” 

Chamber President, Frank Hesch III said the new location will meet the organization's goals. “Not only are we located at one of the busiest and most recognizable locations in the entire Lehigh Valley, but moving our office near the southern end of Route 145 displays our commitment and dedication to seeing the revitalization of lower Route 145 become a reality.”

Howard Lieberman, chairman of the Whitehall Industrial and Commercial Development Authority, said, “As the authority becomes more active in the economic vitality of the Township, and in particular the commercial and industrial sector, it is important that prospects can see and understand that Whitehall is much more than the Lehigh Valley Mall and MacArthur Road. 

"This visitor’s center will be a great way of re-introducing everyone to all of Whitehall and everything it has to offer.”
