It was hard to spot the adults in the crowd of what seemed like hundreds of teens that were lined up at 6 p.m. waiting to get into Friday for the launch of Halloween Haunt V.
The lines moved forward at a crawl as Dorney Park law enforcement officers used an electronic wand to scan each person entering the park for weapons and searched all bags, purses and backpacks.
The wait, however, didn't appear to frustrate anyone - it actually seemed to heighten the excitement as teenagers bounced happily between their groups of friends. Meanwhile, the zombies, ghouls and crazed clowns took their places and waited for an evening of scares.
Once inside, the screams could be heard from high atop the roller coasters and around the corner from unsuspecting park goers startled by a zombie that jumped out to scare them.
Zombie enthusiasts were also there for a chance to see three "professional zombies" from AMC's hit show, . Winners of Dorney's Twitter contest who tweeted the best survival tip for a zombie invasion were treated to a VIP reception with "The Walking Dead" stars.
Nick Silvia of Selden, N.Y., won first place with the tweet: "Adrenaline is a great survival tool so as long as you make your way to the Stinger there will be plenty of that."
"I kill zombies every day...on my phone," said Silvia.
A panel discussion with the zombie stars -- Kevin Galbraith, Savana Wehunt and Sonya Thompson -- started at 7:30 p.m., followed by a meet and greet opportunity that started at 9:30 and went until 11 p.m.
