Zombies to Return to Dorney Park

Haunt V will open at Dorney Park in South Whitehall on Sept. 14.

 

For a fifth year this fall, Dorney Park will again transform into a scare attraction, kicking off the season with its .

The event will provide a preview of the "terrors" to come during the park's Halloween season, and guests will be allowed to come in costume, a Haunt first. In a release posted on its website, Dorney Park said guests can arrive as zombies for the "invasion" or be transformed by make-up artists at the park.

The event will be open to the public and Season Passes will be valid for admission.

Tickets for this event will be $25 and go on sale Friday, July 20 at www.dorneypark.com.

Then on Saturday, Sept. 15, there will be a new event, the HAUNT Vk Zombie Run, held in partnership with Run Lehigh Valley. Registration is currently open at www.runlehighvalley.com for the Zombie-themed running event, and it includes a park admission ticket valid for opening weekend, Sept. 14 to 16. 

HAUNT V, which will run Sept. 14 to Oct. 28, will utilize new areas of Dorney Park, the park said in its release. The event will feature new live shows and talent. More than 500 "monsters" will prowl the midway to bring attractions to life.

NOTE: Dorney Park is now hiring for the HAUNT V Attractions. Job Fairs for zombies, mutants, mummies, ghosts and more will be held at the Good Time Theater from 4-8 p.m. on July 18, Aug. 1, and Aug. 15. Applications are being taken at jobs.dorneypark.com.
