1-4 Inches of Snow Possible Wednesday [Update]

The storm that's been talked about since Friday now looks like it will bring South Whitehall a few inches of snow Wednesday.

First, the impending storm was called a potential "atmospheric bomb" that could dump one to feet of snow on eastern Pennsylvania.

Now, the storm is having the most significant impact south and west of the Lehigh Valley

The National Weather Service has adjusted its winter weather advisory for the Lehigh Valley including the Allentown area for 7 a.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday. (Advisory was originally scheduled through 3 a.m. Thursday)

Highlights include:

  • 2 to 4 inches of snow expected (WFMZ predicts 1 to 3 inches)
  • Snow and rain will move into our area this morning
  • Expect slushy conditions for the Wednesday afternoon/evening commute
  • Snow could continue long enough to affect the Thursday morning commute

A Winter Weather Advisory means periods of snow may make travel difficult. Be prepared for slippery roads.
