Austin Scott Wants To Concentrate on Football

He won't appeal a judge's decision that tossed out his lawsuit in rape case, The Morning Call reports.

Former Parkland High School running back Austin Scott will not appeal a judge's decision that threw out his wrongful rape lawsuit, according to this report in The Morning Call.

Though Scott, 26, filed the suit to clear his name, he wants to concentrate on his football career, his attorney told the newspaper. The report says Scott plays for the New Yorker Lions of the German Football League.

Scott's initial suit was filed against Penn State University, police officers and a woman who accused him of rape in 2007. Those charges were eventually dropped, but Scott, who was dropped from the Penn State football team, said his NFL chances were harmed. Earlier this year, a federal judge in Harrisburg Scott's lawsuit.
