Cemetery Thieves, Missing Woman's Body Found, Stolen Picasso Top Eastern PA News

Abducted teen found dead, cocaine on a shopping list, and another teen missing also made headlines.

Police departments in seven Bucks and Montgomery communities believe Bensalem Police nabbed a trio of alleged thieves who stole from cars in cemetery lots while people visited graves, according to reports.

Missing Woman's Body Found in Creek

A Falls Township woman went missing in 2010 and was declared legally dead in 2011, and though officials didn’t have her body, the district attorney’s charged her ex-boyfriend with murder. In a startling turn, reports indicated that after all this time, the ex-boyfriend allegedly told authorities where to find the body, and her remains were retrieved from a creek two weeks ago, philly.com reported.

Police are investigating a crash in which a 21-year-old woman rear-ended a 76-year-old man and was in possession of a list that included German potato salad, cocaine, a reminder to get high and Pepsi, according to Whitemarsh Police.

Prosecutors in New York said an Easton man stole $100,000 worth of artwork—including a piece by Picasso—from an estate he had been hired to paint. The man is charged with grand larceny, money laundering and identity theft in two different New York counties, and faces up to 26 years in prison, according to a news release from the Kings County, N.Y., district attorney's office.

Teen Killed After Abduction From West Pottsgrove Home

The body of a local teen was discovered along the side of Sanatoga Station Road in Lower Pottsgrove Sunday afternoon, following a reported home invasion and abduction in West Pottsgrove earlier in the day. The teen was scheduled to appear in court  on felony drug charges, stemming from a March arrest at the King of Prussia Mall.

Alert Issued For Missing Teen

Both Montgomery and Chester counties have sent out alerts about a missing 16-year-old girl believed to be an endangered runaway. Her name is Jazmine Denby and she is from Norristown.

Principal Addresses Alleged Teacher Sex Assault

The principal of the Nazareth Area Middle School has sent out a letter to parents in the wake of charges against a drama teacher for alleged repeated sexual assaults of a student over more than two years. Principal Robert L. Kern's letter states that he wanted to "reiterate that the safety and security of our students has been, and will continue to be, my No. 1 priority as principal."

Video posted on Facebook shows what happened early Saturday afternoon when a car was flipped over by a large crowd of young adults in the 400 block of South Walnut Street in West Chester near the West Chester University campus.
