Good Friday is a religious holiday, not a national one.
Here is what's closed on Good Friday:
- South Whitehall Township municipal offices
- Schools: Parkland schools, St. Joseph the Worker and St. Thomas More schools. Lehigh Carbon Community College.
- Lehigh County Courthouse
- District Judge Jacob Hammond's office.
Here is what's open:
- Parkland Community Library
- Pennsylvania state liquor stores
- PennDOT driver's license and photo centers (Driver and vehicle online services are available. www.dmv.state.pa.us)
- Federal offices
- Post offices (Mail will be delivered)
- Most retail and entertainment establishments
- Most banks
