Letter Writer: Hite Will Be Active In Representing Township

Letter writer supports Brian Hite for South Whitehall commissioner.

Dear South Whitehall Patch Editor,

When something needs to be done Brian Hite has the common sense to educate himself with the facts, listen to what others have to say and then make an educated decision of how to proceed.

This is evident in his campaign for South Whitehall Commissioner. To prepare for this campaign Brian has been attending township meetings for the past decade. Brian has attended more Commissioner meetings than many of the current Commissioners. South Whitehall Commissioner is a position that Brian did not decide to run for on a whim, he has dedicated over two hundred evenings of his own free time to attending these meetings to get a good grasp at the task at hand in hopes of one day being an exceptional commissioner for the people, that day has come to the voters in South Whitehall!

I have known Brian for over 20 years; he is of great character, professionalism, while being respectful and always well prepared. Brian is always forthright when he doesn't know an answer or needs to study a problem at depth before making a decision and being prompt getting back to a person when he gets an answer on a situation. Brian will be active in representing the township at community events and various subcommittees which one candidate (whom I don't think is even "campaigning") has been unwilling to do in recent years.

Being on the South Whitehall Planning Commission has brought the needed board experience of interacting with the public with issues going on in their immediate neighborhood. Brian has shown me that he is willing to make sure every person deserves to be heard and understood. Being a native of South Whitehall, Brian knows the characteristics, dynamics and culture from Mechanicsville to Dorneyville, the City of Allentown border to Orefield and everywhere else in the Township.

Brian is not afraid to admit he doesn't know it all, but he is also willing to put in the time and research to educate himself so that he is always prepared without having to make irrational decisions.

Brian is ready, willing and able to be one of three newly elected South Whitehall Commissioners come November 8th. Brian has my vote as I want him to represent me as one of my township commissioner in 2012 and beyond. I encourage everyone in South Whitehall Township to vote Tuesday November 8th for Brian Hite as one of three individuals to be Commissioner. Thank you.
