Meals On Wheels Presents Paper Plate Pleas To Charlie Dent

Meals on Wheels volunteers and elderly clients say it's more than just a home-delivered meal.

Meals on Wheels officials from Lehigh and Northampton counties presented U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent (R-15) on Monday with hundreds of paper plates with poignant, handwritten messages from elderly clients who depend on the organization's home-delivered meals.

The paper plates are part of the national "Don't Empty My Plate" campaign to spur Congress to end sequestration and increase federal funding for the Older Americans Nutrition Programs.
