Bethlehem detectives say a man known as "Slime" gunned down Tyree Wimberly on Club Avenue in January. On Wednesday, District Attorney Jim Martin announced that an arrest warrant has been obtained for Ulysses Rodriguez, a 20-year-old whose last known address was 937 Walnut St., Allentown.

Monkey on the Rail Trail?

Hellertown police investigated a report of a monkey sighting on the Saucon Rail Trail, but came up empty following a search, according to a Morning Call report.

Former President Jimmy Carter came to Lafayette College Monday, telling lecture attendees that the United States needs to be a "champion of peace." Carter's address was the college's first-ever Robert and Margaret Pastor Lecture in International Affairs, named for a Lafayette College alumnus who later worked for the Carter White House.

The American bison born at the Lehigh Valley Zoo debuted in front of the media Tuesday, gamboling close to his mother's side in the Trexler Nature Preserve. At least zoo officials think the calf is male. They haven't gotten closen enough yet to examine the baby bison because they want to give it time to bond with its mother, said President Richard Molchany.
