Road Work in South Whitehall This Week

PennDOT urges motorists to be cautious in work zones.

The following road work is planned in South Whitehall the week of Jan. 17:

* Crews will inspect bridges on Cedar Crest Boulevard, between Walbert Avenue and Orefield Road, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18.

There will be restrictions in the southbound lanes, with flagging.

Rain will cause delays.

* Crews will seal cracks on Cedar Crest Boulevard, between Tilghman Street and Mauch Chunk Road. The work was scheduled until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, but the rain was expected to cause delays.

There will be lane restrictions with flagging. 

* Crews will seal cracks on Haasadahl Road, between Routes 100 and 309 in South Whitehall and Upper Macungie, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Wednesday, Jan. 18.

* Crews will cut brush on Mauch Chunk Road, between 15th Street and Cedar Crest Boulevard. The work was scheduled for today through 3 p.m., but the rain was expected to cause delays.

In all instances, motorists are urged to watch for stopped vehicles and to use caution when traveling through work area.
