When is Township Tree Lighting Ceremony?

Christmas carols, treats and activities for the kids and a visit from Santa Claus will be part of the scene.

There will be Christmas carols, children’s activities and a visit from St. Nicholas when South Whitehall Township ushers in the holiday season with its annual tree lighting ceremony at 5 p.m. Saturday.

The half-hour ceremony outside the township building will include a holiday-themed reading and music by the St. Joseph the Worker Church Choir.

Inside the building, there will be treats and activities for kids, including face painting and crafts. But no Christmas gathering would be complete without Santa Claus, who will arrive by fire truck and visit with children.
