Get cultured! PA Commonwealth Speaker event in one month

Through dance, songs and stories, audiences will explore the traditions of Pennsylvania German music and dance on Wednesday, February 26th from 6:30pm to 8pm, hosted by Jordan UCC at 1837 Church Rd, Allentown, PA.

Dressed in authentic attire, PA Commonwealth Speaker Keith Brintzenhoff begins with a brief history of these rich traditions. He also performs and explains the roles that the guitar, harmonica, mountain dulcimer, banjo and autoharp play in Pennsylvania German music. Participants are taught to hoedown, as well as the fancy footwork of jigging.

This presentation is a program of the Pennsylvania Humanities Council supported in part by national Endowment for the Humanities. Parkland Community Library was awarded the speaker.
