Obituary: Robert L. Oswald, Retired from VOA Children's Center

Robert L. Oswald, Sr., 66, of Allentown, passed away, Sunday, March 31, 2013 at home. He was the husband of Nancy L. (Grow) Oswald. He worked for VOA Children’s Center in Allentown for 10 years before retiring in 2006. Prior he worked for Asplundh Tree Service. Born in Longswamp Township, he was a son of the late Luther and Florence (Trexler) Oswald. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. 

Survivors: wife; son, Robert L. Jr., of Allentown; daughters, Anita L. Oswald of Allentown; Nancy L. Oswald-Becker and her husband Michael of Allentown; brother, Alan of Greenawalds; sisters, Diane wife of Lester Noll of Fleetwood; Sandra wife of Daniel Troxel of Fleetwood; Judy wife of Dennis Bachman of Mertztown; two granddaughters, Grace and Aubree. A brother, Luther and sister, Jane Geist predeceased him.

Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown. There were no calling hours. Trexler Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown is in charge of arrangements. www.trexlerfuneralhome.com
