Update: Fatal Accident on Route 22 in Bethlehem Township

The accident happened less than a mile east of Route 33.

Update: 3:25 p.m.: A 50-year-old Northampton man was killed Saturday in a three-vehicle accident on Route 22, state police at Bethlehem said.

Mark Steven Dickey was pronounced dead at the scene by a Northampton County coroner.

State police said the crash is in the early stages of investigation. They said Dickey's vehicle was struck by another at 8:05 a.m., causing it to turn over and slide into the bridge overpass at Bethlehem Road. The accident occurred in the westbound lane of Route 22, about three-quarter mile east of Route 33.

State police at Bethlehem are still on the scene on a fatal accident on Route 22 that has closed the roadway westbound at 25th Street.

State police said one person was killed in the two-vehicle crash that occurred at 8:05 a.m. on Saturday in Bethlehem Township, between Route 33 and 25th Street.

The victim's name has not been released.
