Man Sentenced in Robbery in Burger King Lot

Antuan D. Dixon was sentenced to up to one year, 29 days in a robbery in a Burger King lot in May, according to Lehigh County court records.

A 25-year-old Allentown man has been sentenced to one year to one year, 29 days in jail for conspiring to rob a female employee of the Burger King in South Whitehall on May 5, according to Lehigh County Court records.

Antuan D. Dixon was sentenced by Lehigh County Judge Robert Steinberg on Oct. 6 after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit robbery in a negotiated plea, court records show. Additional charges of robbery, theft and receiving stolen property were withdrawn. 

Dixon was also sentenced to up to 36 months probation.

Court records show Steinberg also sentenced Dixon to four months to 23 months in prison on a charge of possession with intent to manufacture or deliver. A charge of marijuana possession was withdrawn. The sentencing on the robbery-conspiracy charges runs concurrent to this sentencing.

South Whitehalll that Dixon and a 17-year-old boy, also from Allentown, had approached the employee as she was getting into her vehicle at 5:10 a.m. on May 5 in the lot of the Burger King, 3105 Hamilton Blvd. When she did not react to a command to "give it up," she was hit in the face, and her purse and a bank deposit bag were taken, police had said.

The juvenile had been taken to the Lehigh County Juvenile Detention Center.
