'Office Creeper' in South Whitehall?

South Whitehall police are investigating reports of suspicious persons in several office buildings.

police are investigating reports of suspicious activity and suspicious persons in several office buildings in the township, similar to reports of "the office creeper" suspected in burglaries and thefts spanning a number of states.

However, police said there have been no confirmed reports of Gerald Broadwater, also known as "the office creeper," at any township locations.

Broadwater is a suspected "career" criminal. A video report from an NBC affiliate in College Park, Ga., shows surveillance video of Broadwater as he allegedly burglarizes a Shorter College storage room, making off with 48 laptop computers.

Broadwater is known to police as an "office creeper" because of his method of staking out targets. He walks through buildings, and whenever confronted, says he's a custodian or maintenance worker or that he is with a temp agency.

South Whitehall police said the local investigation involves several agencies and businesses in the township. Police did not name those agencies or businesses.

South Whitehall police are requesting that people remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to call 9-1-1.

Broadwater is described as 6-foot-2 and approximately 205 pounds. Upper Dublin police had said that Broadwater should be considered armed and dangerous.
