South Whitehall Police Blotter: Thefts, Citations, Burglary
South Whitehall police responded to a number of incidents from March 2-9.
According to police, the following incidents and arrests occurred in the township from March 2 to March 9:
-- Theft from vehicle reported, at 6:45 a.m. on March 2, 1800 block of Hemming Way; wheels and tires taken.
-- Theft from vehicle reported, at 11:05 a.m. on March 2, in the 2200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue; 20 CDs taken.

-- Cited for disorderly conduct at Orefield Middle School, at 1:30 p.m. on March 2, a 13-year-old.
-- Theft reported at LA Fitness at 1:57 p.m. on March 2; wallet taken from locker.

-- Theft reported at LA Fitness at 8:25 a.m. on March 3; purse taken from vehicle.
-- Juvenile cited for harrassment at Parkland High School, at 1:20 p.m. on March 3.
-- Cited for public drunkenness, on March 4, in the 1700 block of Jonathan Road, John Spanitz, 78.
-- Burglary reported at 1:34 a.m. on March 5, in the 2400 block of Route 309; welder and various tools stolen from a garage.
-- Hit and run accident reported at 1:04 a.m. on March 7, in the 2200 block of Village Road; dark colored SUV struck a parked vehicle.
-- Two sisters cited for retail theft, at 3:30 p.m. on March 7, at K-mart, Joanna Fernandez, 18, of Allentown, and Livanesa Fernandez, 22, of Allentown.
-- Theft reported at 5:20 p.m. on March 7, in the 2000 block of Sunrise Drive; jewelry stolen.
-- Theft reported at LA Fitness lot, at 8:52 p.m. on March 7; license, cash, credit cards and cellphone taken from car.
-- Criminal mischief reported at 8:57 a.m. on March 8, in the Lehigh County soccer fields; grass damaged in the park.
-- One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 2:31 p.m. on March 8, on the 309 North ramp to Tilghman Street West; one vehicle was towed from the scene.
-- One vehicle struck a utility pole, at 2:07 a.m. on March 9, in the 2400 block of Huckleberry Road.
