Possible Fatal Fire on Walbert Avenue

Firefighters were still on scene of a house fire next to the vacant Charlie Brown's restaurant on Walbert Avenue on Wednesday morning.

4 p.m. UPDATE: The second person killed in the early morning fire Wednesday at 1920 Walbert Ave. has been identified by the Lehigh County Coroner's Office as Michael Hutchison, 48. His brother, Russell L. Hutchison, 43, was also killed in the blaze. The men died from smoke inhalation, according to autopsies performed Wednesday afternoon. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation. Firefighters had pulled the men out of the second floor of the burning home.

UPDATE: In a press release, the Lehigh County Coroner at 9:30 a.m. announced there were two bodies found in the house on Walbert Avenue. One victim was identified as Russell L. Hutchison. The second person has yet to be postively identified.

The Morning Call reported that the coroner was called to the scene and that two people had been taken from the home to a hospital.

The fire was reported just before 3 a.m. in the 1900 block of Walbert Avenue.
