Emmaus Woman Among Two Killed In Crash

The accident happened in Lynn Township.

A 27-year-old Emmaus woman and a 33-year-old Germansville man were killed in a head-on crash in Lynn Township Friday evening, according to state police at Fogelsville.

Leigh Fritz, of Delong Avenue, was killed in the crash on Route 143, about one-quarter mile of Route 309, state police said. The man killed has not been identified, pending notification of next of kin.

According to state police, the driver of a pickup truck was travelling too fast around a curve on Route 143 at 5:47 p.m., lost control and went into the west-bound lane. The pickup truck struck Fritz' car, which was headed west.
