State Police Seek Vehicle That Rear-Ended Mercedes, Causing It to Strike Bridge

Hit-and-run crash occurred around 4am today on Kernsville Road in North Whitehall, state police say.


State police are looking for the public's help in finding a vehicle that rear-ended a Mercedes aroung 4 this morning in North Whitehall, causing the car to hit a bridge.

The Mercedes' driver, Safieh Jaber, 48, of Orefield was not hurt. She was wearing a seat belt, a state police fax said.

The 2002 Mercedes S500 was eastbound on Kernsville, about 246 feet west of Grist Mill Road, when the unknown vehicle approached from behind and struck the rear of the Mercedes. That caused the Mercedes to strike a right guiderail and then a bridge, the fax said.

The unknown vehicle continued east on Kernsville without stopping.

State police ask that anyone with information call them at the Fogelsville barracks, 610-395-1438.
