Township Man Arrested in Police Prostitution Sting

Colonial Regional Police say five men allegedly agreed to pay for sex acts at a Hanover Township, Northampton County, hotel.

A South Whitehall man was one of five men arrested in a police-orchestrated prostitution sting at a "cooperating Hanover Township, Northampton County hotel," according to a press release issued Wednesday by Colonial Regional Police.

Police say Marc A. Capozzolo, 27, of the 300 block of North 40th Street, South Whitehall, was arrested between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Feb. 21.

Also arrested were Ronald J. Cantwell, 48, of the first block of West Saucon Street, Hellertown; Matthew J. Groller, 36, of the 1500 block of Laubach Avenue, Northampton; Ryan G. Abdouche, 24, of the 600 block of Hanover Avenue, Allentown; and David M. Haybron, 51, of the 100 block of North Park Road, Wyomissing, Berks County.

"All agreed with an undercover police officer to sex acts for the prices ranging from $80 to $200," the press release said.

Cantwell and the other men will receive summonses from the office of District Judge James Narlesky, police said.

Police did not identify the hotel where the operation took place.

Why is it still illegal for consenting adults to pay for services like sex?

They cant figure out how to tax it, sooner or later marijuana will be legalized as a tax revenue generator. Cigarettes kill people everyday but will never be illegal as they bring in too much tax revenue same thing with alcohol. After they settle the marijuana tax they will work on sex taxation.

I contacted LVHN several months ago about volunteering with my son (8 years old) at the AndersonRead More campus. I would stay with him at all times and supervise him. I was told that they do not accept children. I think its a shame that the hospital will not accept him a a volunteer. I am trying to teach him how to give back to his community . Apparently the hospital does not want our help. I think several patients, especially older ones, would like getting assistance from a young child.

Tom, LVHN does not have an Anderson Campus. I believe you are referring to St Luke's Health Network.Read More LVHN is not able to accept volunteers under the age of 16 years old. There are many mandated reasons that young children are not allowed to volunteer in a hospital setting. Volunteering is a wonderful thing to teach your children. There are organizations in the Leigh Valley who are willing to utilize families. Please visit the Volunteer Center of the Leigh Valley for other opportunities in your area. www.volunteerlv.org
