Wegmans Evacuates Customers During Fire Alarm

Workers accidently set off a fire alarm Monday at Wegmans on Tilghman Street, prompting a brief lunchtime evacuation of customers.

Allentown firefighters showed up anyway but left the store after conducting a search.

Jared Fedor, a manager at Wegmans in Allentown, said workers were performing maintenance on the alarms when they accidently tripped the system.
