Willow Tree Grove Owner Killed in Crash

The one-vehicle accident occurred Wednesday between 10:25 a.m. and 5:37 p.m., state police at Fogelsville said.

The 62-year-old owner of the Willow Tree Grove catering hall was killed Wednesday in a scooter accident on Township Line Road in Lowhill Township.

David Davis, 62, of Orefield, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to state police at Fogelsville, who said the accident occurred between 10:25 a.m. and 5:37 p.m. on Wednesday. 

State police said Davis was traveling north on Township Line Road when his 2005 Honda Silver Wing went off the road and struck a tree. Davis was ejected, also hitting the tree.

Officials said Davis owned the Willow Tree catering hall, which has hosted many Parkland sports fundraisers.

State police said the investigation into the accident is continuing.

Davis was not wearing a helmet.
