Woman Accused of Encouraging 4-year-old to Shoplift Dorney Park Trinkets

South Whitehall Police police arrest a Walnutport woman on charges of corrupting a minor and retail theft. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

A 57-year-old Walnutport woman encouraged a 4-year-old child to shoplift a dinosaur magnet and other items from Good Time Gifts at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom, South Whitehall police say.

Gail Dobrosky was arrested Oct. 13 on charges of corrupting a minor and retail theft.

According to an arrest affidavit, a Dorney Park security guard witnessed Dobrosky place items in the 4-year-old's bag and encourage the child to take items out of the store in the child's hands without paying.

The items were a "My Name Flashlight," Snoopy dog tag, skull key change and a dinosaur magnet, the report says. The items were valued at $18.96.

According to the arrest affidavit, the woman was the child's temporary legal guardian.

District Judge Jacob Hammond set bail at $10,000.
