Update: Here's Who's Running In Township, Parkland School District
Six candidates to run on Republican ticket for South Whitehall commissioner. Five incumbents seek re-election to the Parkland School Board.
Six Republicans are seeking one of three seats on the South Whitehall Board of Commissioners, and five incumbents are seeking re-election to the Parkland school board, according to Lehigh County election officials.
The deadline to get in the May 17 primary was Tuesday, March 8, at 4 p.m.
Candidates have until March 23 to withdraw, if they so choose.

According to election officials, no Democrats had filed petitions for their party's nomination for township commissioner as of 3:40 p.m. Tuesday. The following Republicans had filed petitions to run in the primary:
* Brian Hite, 41, a member of the township planning commission. A life-long township resident, he is employed as a tractor trailer mechanic.

* Dale Daubert, the only incumbent to seek re-election. He is the former director of property services for Lehigh County, retiring in 1992. He first was elected township commissioner in 1989.
* Glenn Block, 54, a certified public accountant and vice chair of the township zoning board. He is a senior partner at Block & Aldinger CPAs in South Whitehall, and owner of Keystone Security and Electronics Co. Inc.
* David Bond, 47, a divisional vice president for transportation for The Bon-Ton department store chain. He is also emergency medical technician with both the Cetronia Ambulance Corps and Northwestern Ambulance.
* Heidi McMahon, 52, project management professional with experience in several industries, including medical devices, industrial and telecommunications and consumer product lines.
* Rene Rodriguez, former township commissioner and board president.
Also, five incumbents filed petitions for re-election to five seats on the Parkland School Board.
According to election officials, the following four incumbents have cross-filed, which means they will be on both the Democratic and Republican ballots:
* Lisa A. Adams
* Robert E. Bold, former board president.
* David M. Kennedy
* Roberta M. Marcus
Also filing:
* Incumbent Debra Young Evans, who will seek only the Democratic nod in the primary.
* Roy Jef Reyburn, who will seek only the Republican nomination.
